Wedding Makeup in Slovenia: How to Choose the Perfect Bridal Look

One of my favorite locations for bridal makeup is the stunning Otočec Castle, where I’ve had the privilege of creating unforgettable looks for brides from different countries. Slovenia is becoming one of Europe’s most sought-after destinations for dream weddings. With its breathtaking nature, diverse venues (from Lake Bled to the coast), and accessible yet professional service providers, it’s no wonder so many international couples choose Slovenia for their special day. I frequently work with brides coming from abroad to get married in Slovenia, particularly in Bled, Ljubljana, or Portorož.

One of the most important decisions every bride faces is her makeup.

As a professional makeup artist with many years of experience in weddings with domestic and foreign couples, I want to give you some tips:

1. Choose a makeup that reflects your personality. Your makeup should not be too dramatic or completely different from what you wear every day. At the same time, you need to feel comfortable and confident – makeup should add inner strength and peace to you so that you shine like yourself. Let it emphasize your natural beauty.

2. Trust a professional. Check references, photos of past weddings and choose a makeup artist who speaks your language or can listen to you. You can talk to me in Slovenian, English or Russian.

3. Experimental makeup. I always recommend doing a trial makeup before the wedding. So we can try different textures, colors and style together to make sure you feel completely relaxed and confident on the big day.

4. Book on time. Due to the large number of weddings between April and September, I recommend booking at least 3-6 months in advance.
